A pair of Victorian amethyst and pearl drop earrings.
 
Suspended via a bar link each large oval cut amethyst has been claw set in a basket.
Each amethyst measures 18 x 13 mm's, and combined the two stones have an estimated weight of 13.4 carats.
 
Above the bar link is the shepherd hook fitting. A small oval pearl has been thread through this hook fitting.
 
These earrings are circa 1890.
