A Victorian 9ct gold pearl mourning ring.
This ring is Hallmarked Chester, with the date mark of 1888.
The largest pearl is set at the centre of the ring, and measures 3 x 3mm's.
Set in to each corner of the central section are four round seed pearls which each measure 2 x 2mm's.
The centre piece takes the form of a buckle, and around the ring there are detailed gold belt loops.
Beneath the loops there is a ring of fine hair that has been very carefully and delicately platted.
An excellent and meaningful example of Victorian sentiment.
Finger size Q and a half. Unfortunately we are unable to re-size this ring.
